About Eda's
In 1957 Paul Lehman's vision of a sugarfree hard candy for those unable to have sugar was given birth, affectionately naming the product after his wife, Eda.
Over the years his vision has grown to include fitness and healthy conscience individuals (fewer calories than ordinary brands, no fat content) as well promotion of a healthy lifestyle by a "salt free" proprietary recipe.
Gone are the days when these small delicious treats are only available to the select few. Eda's proprietary manufacturing process uses sorbitol, a cool refreshing sugar substitute which occurs naturally in many fruits and berries.
We at Eda's are constantly striving to improve our special formula. For example, Eda's unique manufacturing methods prevent annoying stickiness and melting in the wrapper. Furthermore, our tasty candies are available in 19 individual flavors as well as 4 of the most popular mixed combinations: Mixed Fruit, Sour Mix, Tropical Mix, and Old-Tyme Mix.
Eda's Ingredients
Sorbitol, Gum Arabic, Colors may include: (Red 40, Blue 1, Blue 2, Yellow 5, Titanium Dioxide, Yellow Tumeric), Combination of Natural and Artificial Flavors, Oils may include: (Lemon, Lime, Orange, Spearmint, Peppermint), Citric Acid, Cocoa Powder if Chocolate and Chocolate Mint.
As in all candies made with sorbitol, matlitol, insomalt, or hydrogenated starch hydrolysate, EXCESSIVE CONSUMPTION MAY HAVE A LAXATIVE EFFECT IN SENSITIVE PERSONS when several pieces are eaten at one time. We recommend starting with a smaller serving size of two candies.
